Adam and Eve
Paraphrased by Sharon Martin
Gen 2 - 3:24 (NIV)

Adam and Eve were in a beautiful garden called Eden. God told Adam to look after the garden. He was allowed to eat anything in the garden apart from the fruit from the tree of knowledge.
One day a serpent came up to Eve and said, "Why don't you eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge. The fruit tastes delicious. Don't you want to know lots of good things? God just doesn't want you to know lots of good things." Eve said to the serpent "God said we are not allowed to eat from that tre e." But Eve was tempted and then she ate from the tree, the fruit was delicious. She shared the fruit with Adam.
God was walking in the garden one day and found that Adam and Eve were hiding. Adam and Eve covered themselves with leaves. God asked them "Why did you eat the fruit I forbid you to eat. Eve said, "It was the serpent who told me we could." Adam said "Eve gave it to me." So God punished Adam and Eve and sent them out of the garden never to return.
